Project: Online Induction
Client: Austereo
Working for: The Learning Group
Role: Lead Developer & Project Manager
I remember the day I was asked to be the Lead Developer on this project. It was an extremely busy time for the company, and a time commitment had been made that brought to mind the word “eep”. I am lucky that for all of these “crunch time” projects I have always had a willing team to work with. The Lead Visual Designer completed the graphics work on Saturdays, and I carried on with development on Sundays.
The hard work and overtime really paid off. This course is unique because of the high production value attached to it. It is media rich, with a background audio track and videos throughout.
Close attention had to be paid to stage management, and some pretty tight rules had to be followed to create a varying yet seamless look and feel for the entire course.

While I wasn’t project manager to begin with, I was asked to take over this role after personnel changes from both us and the client stalled the project. I was able to get it back on track and continued to be the main point of contact and project manager for all maintenance related work up until going on Long Term Leave in July 2009.
