I don’t use this website to write personal posts, but I had a fantastic weekend in Davao and wanted to share a few photos with you (out of the couple of hundred that were taken
).

Lechon Manok. This was “brunch”! We got up at around 5.30 to get to the airport and hadn’t had breakfast. So at 10.30 or so, we were driving around Davao deciding what to eat. Freshly cooked, we got to the restaurant when they were only up to heating up the coals!!

I’m not a fan of seafood, but I truly enjoyed this Pusit. It had a really great citrus flavour, and when dipped in the soy, chili and calamansi sauce… YUM!
The Pomelo in Davao was amazing. I’ve never tasted such sweet and juicy Pomelo before. The memory is going to be stored away in my mind like the Pineapple from Thailand
We didn’t stay there, but we did look around for a few hours. This is the view from one of the Pearl Farm beaches. It was a very idyllic spot, and while the accommodations weren’t as luxurious as we had expected the atmosphere was serene.
This is the centre view of Bali Bali Beach Resort, where we stayed the night. Small, but sweet. The food here was amazing as well and the staff were very attentive.
And finally, wistfully wishing we were still on the ground, flying out of Davao.
What an amazing weekend. We managed to avoid Typhoon Parma and the rainy weather in Manila, and spent an idyllic weekend away with beautiful weather and extremely tasty treats
